Kitchen Line Cook

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Kitchen Line Cook to join our culinary team in Abu Dhabi. Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation and Cooking

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
  • Ensure all dishes are cooked to perfection, with attention to taste, texture, and appearance.
  • Follow standardized recipes and procedures to maintain consistency across all dishes.
  • Handle multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining quality and efficiency.

Kitchen Operations

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation at all times.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items to prevent spoilage and cross-contamination.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock rotation to minimize waste.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate orders and meet service deadlines.
  • Assist in training new kitchen staff and sharing best practices.

Quality Control

  • Taste and inspect dishes to ensure they meet quality and flavor standards.
  • Address any issues with food preparation promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.

Menu Development

  • Contribute creative ideas for new menu items, specials, and seasonal dishes.
  • Assist in testing and refining new recipes to enhance the menu.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Handle special requests and dietary restrictions with care and attention.
  • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of dishes to meet guest expectations.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and work ethic to contribute to a pleasant dining experience.

  • Culinary Expertise: Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Education: Culinary school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
  • Certifications: Food safety and hygiene certification (e.g., HACCP) is preferred.
  • Language: Basic English communication skills (additional languages are a bonus).
